Wine Club

Our Wine Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month. This is a social and fun way to enjoy and learn about wine. Discover flavours, intensities and complexities in wines you never knew existed.

Other benefits include 9 tutored tastings a year, discounts on purchases and free entry to the Hermanus Wine and Food Festival!

What's on special?

The wines in this collection have been carefully selected by Paul du Toit. His focus and dedication is on fine South African wines.

The Wine Village Hermanus is 20 years old this year and Paul has built up a vast knowledge of wines – tasting 8 to 12 wines daily. Old favourites and stunning new gems are to be found here.

Paul's Gin and Brandy Selection

It all started on a ship! The word brandy (brandywine) is from the Dutch word “brandewijn”, meaning burnt or distilled wine. The Dutch used distillation as a method of preserving wine aboard their ships. Indeed, a tot of brandy was offered to the first man on board to sight land, leading to calls of “Land Ahoy” many days before the vessels actually docked.
